YMCA Alliance of Northern New England Names New Chief Operating Officer

November 5, 2025 – Today, the YMCA Alliance of Northern New England announced the selection of Katie Parker as its next Chief Operating officer.

Parker has 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the YMCA movement, she brings a deep commitment to advancing the Y’s mission through organizational growth, program innovation, and community impact. She is a native of Maine and graduated from the University of Maine (Orono) with a B.S. in Business Administration. Katie started her professional Y career with the Sanford-Springvale YMCA as Aquatics Director in 2006.

Most recently, Katie served as Executive Director of Member Experience at the YMCA of Greater Nashua, where she led membership, health and wellbeing, aquatics, camping services, and youth development operations across three branches. Under her leadership, the Y achieved full post-pandemic membership recovery, launched new initiatives to strengthen community well-being, and was reclassified as a Mid-Major YMCA.

Katie lives in New Hampshire with her husband (Justin), two children (Will & Lauren) and golden retriever (Coco). On weekends, you can often find her on the sidelines of a soccer field somewhere in New England. As a family, they enjoy traveling, spending time at their family home in Maine, and vacationing in Disney.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Katie to the Alliance team. Her deep roots in New England and extensive Y experience make her the perfect partner to strengthen collaboration across our three states,” said Dr. Rebecca Stanfield McCown, Alliance CEO. “Katie brings an incredible blend of operational expertise, strategic insight, and heart for the mission that will help elevate our impact across Northern New England.”

Parker will assume her new role on December 1, 2025.
